DUJA gets new committee

Mehedi Hasan of the daily Kaler Kantho and Sazzadul Kabir of Banglanews24.com on Sunday were elected as new president and general secretary of Dhaka University Journalists' Association (DUJA) for the next one year.

Ashiq Abdullah Apu of the Daily Star was elected as vice president, Abdulah Al Jobair of Daily Sangbad as joint secretary, Ismail Sohel of Daily Nayadiganta as office secretary and Abu Sayed Islam of Daily Ajkaler Khobor as treasurer.

Mamun Tusher of Daily Alokito Bangladesh, Mehedi Hasan Bellal of Daily Amader Somoy and Mazharul Islam Rabin were elected as executive members through voting of some 43 members of journalists' association of the campus.

The DUJA election was held at its office at Teacher-Student Centre (TSC) of the university.
