DYD signs MoU with British Council

Aiming to build social leadership skill among youths and promote youth volunteerism in Bangladesh, the Department of Youth Development (DYD), Ministry of Youth and Sports and the British Council signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the ministry recently, says a statement.

ABM Ruhul Azad, additional secretary, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, AN Ahammad Ali, director general (additional charge), the Department of Youth Development, Barbara Wickham, Director Bangladesh, British Council, Dr Shahnaz Karim, Director Society, British Council, and Md Ashadul Islam, secretary, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, were present at the signing ceremony.

Under the MoU, DYD and the British Council will work together to develop a pool of facilitators who will be using British Council's 'Active Citizens' methodology and training toolkit to support young people across Bangladesh in building their social leadership skills.
