Edn ministry cautions public against fraud

The Education Ministry on Tuesday claimed that some vested quarters have indulged in illegal activities such as demanding money in the name of listing educational institutions under MPO, giving recognition to new institutions, opening of new sections in educational institutions, setting up of new institutions using the name of the ministry and its departments, reports UNB.

A press release, signed by Deputy Chief Information Officer of Secondary and Higher Education Department Mohammad Afarzur Rahman, said, "The public is being clearly notified that there is no scope for payment of any money to the education ministry for the activities."

It also asked people to be cautious about this type of fraud.

The ministry also asked to take action based on the guidelines published only on ministry's website.
