Ensure justice for people, President urges judges

President Abdul Hamid on Monday told judges to ensure justice for the people, reports UNB.

"[The] court is the last dependable place for people. And the court has a lot of responsibilities to ensure justice for the countrymen," the President said when three newly-appointed Appellate Division judges called on him.

The judges are - Justice Zinat Ara, Justice Abu Bakar Siddiquee and Justice Md Nuruzzaman.

The President appointed them on October 08. President Hamid congratulated them and hoped that they would give comprehensive efforts to help people get justice.

His Press Secretary Joynal Abedin briefed reporters about the meeting.

The judges sought all-out cooperation and support of the President to ensure the infrastructural development of the judiciary. President Hamid assured them of providing necessary support.
