East West University Board of Trustees Chairperson Syed Manzur Elahi (third from left) among other guests in an international conference entitled "ICSL 2020: Gender, Health, Information and Environment" on the university campus in the city on Thursday The East West University (EWU) organised a three-day multidisciplinary international conference entitled "ICSL 2020: Gender, Health, Information and Environment" on the university campus in the city on Thursday, says a statement.
The conference provided a leading platform for the academics, researchers, and participants to present and discuss the contemporary issues, trends, challenges as well as solutions to various fields of gender, health, information, and environment.
Zuena Aziz, Senior Secretary, Syed Manzur Elahi, Chairperson, Board of Trustees, EWU, Prof Dr M M Shahidul Hassan, Vice Chancellor, EWU, Dr Ellen Bal, Associate Professor, VU University, Netherlands and Dr Fakhrul Alam, UGC Professor, were present on the inaugural session of the conference.
Dr Maitrayee Chaudhuri, Professor, Jawaharlal Neheru University, India, and Dr Tahmeed Ahmed, Senior Director, International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh were the keynote speakers.
About 200 participants from 12 countries took part in the conference. A large number of participants were also present on the occasion.
