The 4th International Conference on Information and Knowledge Management (i-IKM 2025) was inaugurated at East West University (EWU). The three-day event began on Tuesday at the university's Manzur Elahi Auditorium in the city.
With the theme "From Access to Action: Rethinking Information Practices in an AI-driven Society", the conference was organised by the Department of Information Studies, EWU.
Professor Dr. Shams Rahman, Vice Chancellor of EWU, attended the ceremony as the chief guest. The session was chaired by Professor Dr. M. Ashik Mosaddik, Pro-VC of EWU, while the welcome address was delivered by Professor Dr. Dilara Begum, Chairperson of the Dept of Information Studies.
Other speakers at the event included Dr. Hajime Shirasaka of Japan. Keynote speeches were presented by Professor Bernd Markscheffel from Germany and Professor Jean-Charles Lamirel from France.
Professor Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, EWU, attended the conference, among others.
More than 80 research papers from countries including Bangladesh, Nepal, Finland, India, the Philippines, and Sri Lanka were presented at this year's conference.
