Ex-FBCCI president Akram Hussain passes away

Former president of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) Alhaj Muhammad Akram Hussain died on Tuesday at the age of 70.

He will be buried in Dhaka today (Wednesday) after his namaj-e-janaza. Akram Hussain left behind his wife, one daughter and two sons to mourn him.

Leaders of the apex trade body expressed their deep shock at the demise of its former president.

FBCCI president, first vice president, vice president, directors, all district chambers, all associations and the FBCCI secretariat prayed for the salvation of the departed soul.

They also expressed their deep sympathy to the bereaved family. His son Amzad Hussain is a present director of the FBCCI board. Alhaj Muhammad Akram Hussain acted as the president of FBCCI during 1990-92.
