FE journo among four awarded for impact reporting on nutrition

Four journalists from different renowned media outlets have been awarded media fellowship for impact reporting on the prevailing crises of malnutrition in children aged under five, tackling nutritional issues of pregnant women, lactating women, and adolescent girls in the country.
They covered field reporting on the ground of some poverty-driven districts like Rangpur and Nilphamari on various crises in maternal and child malnutrition, adolescent nutrition, health, hygiene, gender & Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) issues for adolescent girl interventions.
Kabita Bose, country director of Plan International Bangladesh, handed over a crest, a certificate, and Tk 50,000 to each of the award recipients at a ceremony held at Hotel Lake Castle in the capital on Thursday.
The journalists received the fellowship offered under the Joint Action for Nutrition Outcome (JANO) project, a consortium project focused on nutrition governance.
The journalists who received the fellowship are Hosain Md Sajibur Rahman of The Financial Express; Farhana Zaman of Jamuna Television; Afia Afrin of The Business Post and Tarek Al Hasan of Prothom Alo).
