Fire at Korail slum doused

A fire that broke out at Korail slum at Mohakhali in the capital early Saturday was doused after nearly two hours of frantic efforts.

However, there was no report of casualties. A duty officer of control room at the Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters said that the fire service got the news of the fire at around 12:44 am (Saturday).

He said that eleven units of firefighters reached the spot and brought the flames under control around 1:35am.
