A fire service official who was injured in a chemical warehouse fire in Gazipur's Tongi area succumbed to his injuries on Saturday morning while undergoing treatment at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery in the capital.
The victim Khandakar Jannatul Naim (37) was the warehouse inspector (officer) at the Fire Service and Civil Defence Station, Tongi, Gazipur.
Media cell officer at the Fire Service Talha Bin Jashim told the media that Naim had died around 10:00am while undergoing treatment.
He said that about 42 per cent of the victim's body was burnt in the blaze.
With this, a total of four individuals - three firefighters and a shop employee - lost their lives in the fire incident.
