Five more children die of measles-like symptoms

The health authorities on Thursday registered five more deaths due to measles-like infections in the past 24 hours, totalling the casualties to 666 since mid-March this year.

Of the total fatalities, 93 were confirmed cases. And, of the total confirmed and suspected deaths, 297 were reported in Dhaka, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) .

Meanwhile, as many as 1,009 suspected and 139 confirmed infections were recorded in the past 24 hours. On the day, the total confirmed and suspected infections cross 100,000-mark since mid-March. The total suspected infections rose to 89,904 and confirmed infections to 10,773 since then.
