Formulate rules to assess answer sheets of disabled students: HC

The High Court directed the authorities concerned of the government to formulate rules with regard to the assessment of the answer sheets of the disabled students in all the public examinations in light of the Sections 15(1) and 15(2) of the 'Rights and Protection of Persons with Disabilities Act 2013' as soon as possible-preferably within three months. Secretaries of ministries of education and social welfare and chairpersons and controllers of all education boards have to comply with this direction.

At the same time, the court asked the authorities concerned to reassess the two answer sheets of code no 109 and 150 of SCC examination of AFM Mostofa Masud, a student of Mohammadpur Government High School of the capital city, with due care within one month.

The High Court bench of Justice FRM Nazmul Ahasan and Justice Kamrul Kader passed this direction in a verdict delivered on August 22, 2019 after hearing a writ petition. The full text of the verdict was published on Monday.
