Four bodies of a family recovered in Mirpur

Police recovered the bodies of four members of the same family from Mirpur 11's Wapda Bihari Camp in Dhaka's Pallabi, reports bdnews24.com

AKM Alamgir, chief of Pallabi Police Station, said police went to the family's home and recovered their bodies after the incident was reported around 11am.

The deceased have been identified as Mohammad Masum, 35, his wife Fatema Akhtar Sumi, 32, and their sons Minhaj, three and a half, and Asad, one and a half.

Police and the CID Crime Scene Unit were at the scene. Upon the completion of the unnatural death report, the bodies will be sent to the hospital morgue.

Citing neighbours, the police said the family was in debt. They believe the couple may have "killed" their children and "died by suicide" out of despair.
