Four die in two Ctg incidents

CHITTAGONG, Mar 27: Three persons were killed in a road accident and another was beaten to death by miscreants in the city's Bayezid area today.
A Chittagong city-bound truck carrying cargo and an auto-rickshaw carrying four passengers met a head-on collision around 1.30 am on Monday night in Baluchara Natun Bazar area on the Kuaish-Burishchar Road under the Bayezid police station.
The accident left two passengers of the auto dead on the spot and three others including the driver of the three- wheeler were admitted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital. The attending doctors declared another passenger dead on Tuesday morning, said ASI Alauddin Talukder of the CMCH police box.
He said the deceased are Md Nantu (28), son of Abu Taher of Haludia village under Raozan police station, Md Rakib (22), son of Md Babul of Azadibazar under Fatikchhari and Md Zahed (32).
Meanwhile, Officer-in-harge of the Bayezid police station Abul Kalam said the police recovered a dead body of a man aged around 35 years beside the Tamanna Residential Area on the Kuaish Road around 7.00 A.M.on Tuesday.
It is assumed that the man was beaten to death and the killers left the scene leaving the victim on the road with his hands and legs tied by a rope. He was in jeans pant and T-Shirt, the O/C said. All four dead bodies have been sent to the CMCH morgue.
Two cases have been registered with the police station and the cops were trying to trace out the killers of the unidentified person.
