Govt committed to ensuring justice for Hadi's murder

Says Foreign Affairs Adviser

Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain has said that the government is committed to bringing those involved in the murder of Hadi to justice.

He said work is continuing to complete the trial as quickly as possible.

"We cannot rush the judicial process. We are trying to bring back everyone involved in the killing of Hadi. However, at this moment we cannot say with 100per cent certainty where the accused are," he said.

"We have indications that they may have crossed the border. If a very specific location could be identified, then it could be said that they are in India," he added.

The adviser made the remarks while responding to journalists' questions after a view -exchange meeting with heads of various government departments working in the district at the conference room of the Munshiganj Deputy Commissioner's office on Saturday afternoon.

Earlier in the day, from Saturday morning, he took part in various programmes in Munshiganj to commemorate the martyrs of the July movement.

The Foreign Affairs Adviser also attended a view -exchange meeting with heads of different government departments at the Deputy Commissioner's office, where the district's overall administrative activities and various issues were discussed.
