Govt decides to award Export Trophy, CIP status for FY 25

The interim government will award National Export Trophy and CIP (commercially important person) status for the fiscal year (FY) 2024-25 under 36 categories and 35 sectors respectively, sources said.

Exporters/exporting firms would be selected for Trophy and CIP status in recognition to their outstanding performance in the country's export earnings.

Both local and foreign exporting firms operating in Bangladesh will be able to apply for the trophy and CIP card to the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) within August 31, 2025.

Exporters/exporting firms, having earnings ranging between US$1.0 million to US$70 million, will be eligible for applying for the export trophy and CIP status.

The aspirant awardees will be selected as per the National Export Trophy Policy 2022 and CIP (Export policy) 2023 respectively.

The recognitions are expected to be given under three categories--gold, silver, and bronze, an official said.

Usually, the CIP cardholders enjoy facilities and privilege including seat reservations in airlines, rail, and road and waterway transportation, he added.
