Hot weather continues

A mild to moderate hot weather continued in the capital city on Sunday, with the mercury level remaining almost unchanged.
According to the Met Office, the maximum temperature in Dhaka was recorded at 35.7 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature was 29.7 degrees on Sunday. The minimum temperature was 27.3 degrees the previous day.
The humidity in the air was 77 per cent in the morning and 59 per cent in the evening on Sunday.
The maximum rainfall of the country was recorded at 77 mm in Barishal.
Meanwhile, mild heat wave was sweeping over the regions of Tangail, Nikli, Mymensingh, Sylhet, Rajshahi, Bogura, Sirajganj, Rangpur, Dinajpur and Sayedpur.
The country's highest temperature of 37.3 degrees Celsius was recorded in Dinajpur and the lowest temperature of 24.08 degrees in Khepupara.
The Met Office forecast that light to moderate rain/thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is also likely to occur in Khulna, Barishal, Dhaka, Chattogram and Rajshahi divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions today (Monday).
The sun sets in Dhaka at 05:56 pm today (Monday) and will rise at 5:47 am tomorrow (Tuesday).
