‘Husband’ kills woman in Jhenidah

JHENIDAH, Aug 18 (UNB): A housewife was hacked to death allegedly by her husband following a family dispute at Chheria village in Maheshpur upazila early Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Firoza Begum (45), wife of Abdul Kuddus of the village.
Quoting locals, Sub-inspector Akbar Ali of Bhairaba police outpost said the couple locked into an altercation around 1:30 am.
At one stage, Abul hacked Firoza with a sharp weapon, leaving her dead on the spot.
