The two-day 2nd International Conference on 'Recent and Advanced Fiber and Polymer Materials (ICFP-2025), organised by the Society of Fiber Science, Bangladesh (SFSB), in collaboration with International Standard University (ISU) and Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX), will be held on August 26-27, says a press release.
The event will take place at BUTEX in the capital's Tejgaon from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
This global event will bring together leading researchers, academics, and industry experts to share cutting-edge innovations and insights in fiber and polymer science.
The conference will be presided over by Prof Dr M A Barique, president of SFSB and faculty member at Shizuoka University, Japan.
Distinguished international guests, including Prof Takeshi Kikutani (former president, the Fiber Society of Japan & Institute of Science Tokyo), Prof Caroline L. Schauer (president, Fiber Society USA), Dr. Rudolf Hufenus (EMPA, Switzerland), Prof Suwabun Chirachanchai (Thailand), Prof Seeram Ramakrishna (Singapore), Prof Han Yong (Korea), Prof Shuichi Tanoue (president, Japan Society of Textile Machinery), and Prof Koji Nakane (Japan), will join the programme.
Prof Dr Md Zulhash Uddin, vice-chancellor of BUTEX; Prof Mohammad Abul Kashem, dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, ISU; Prof HTM Quader Newaz, treasurer of ISU; and Prof Dr Mohammad Masudur Rahman (EUB), will also attend the event.
