IUB arranges webinars marking 'Mujib Borsho'

To celebrate 'Mujib Borsho', birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) has been holding various programmes round the year, according to a statement.

As part of it, a series of webinars have been chalked out while three of them have already been held by now.

The first webinar titled Bangabandhu's Vision of a Secular Bangladesh took place on August 17 where Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni was present as the chief guest.

The second IUB webinar titled Bangabandhu's Dream of Bangladesh and 2020 was held on August 19.

Former secretary and Chief Information Commissioner Muhammad Zamir, former secretary of Communications Ministry ASM Ali Kabir and former Pro-VC (Academic) of Dhaka University Prof Nasreen Ahmed addressed the event.

The third webinar was held on August 22 with the title Bangabandhu and Bangladesh - His vision of an Independent Bangladesh's role in the region and the world'.

Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen attended the programme as the chief guest.

Khandker Md Iftekhar Haider, VC (Acting) and Treasurer, IUB delivered vote of thanks at the event.
