Nepal team, winner of IUB Ascension 2018, receiving prize from guests at the prize- giving ceremony on the IUB campus in the city recently A three-day long International English Debate Tournament titled `IUB Ascension 2018' was held at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) on university's own campus in the city recently, says a press release.
IUB organised the programme.
In the Open category, Delhi University, India clinched the championship trophy while Taylor's University, Malaysia became the runner-up.
In High school category, Debate Network Nepal became the Champion and Rajuk Uttara Model College, Dhaka became the runner-up.
In Novice category, Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) became the Champion while Kathmandu University School of Law, Nepal became the runner-up.
A total of 116 teams from different schools, colleges and universities from thecountry and abroad participated in this international debate tournament.
