Janaza of two BAF pilots held

Namaj-e-janaza of the two pilots of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) was held at the big top hanger of BAF Base Bashar in Dhaka Cantonment in the city on Monday afternoon, reports UNB.

Two pilots of the BAF-Squadron Leader Md Serajul Islam and Squadron Leader Enayet Kabir Polash-were killed as a BAF training aircraft they were flying crashed into a water body in Jashore's Sadar upazila on Sunday night.

They had taken off from BAF Base Matiur Rahman on a night training mission with the Chinese-made K-8W.

Chief of Bangladesh Army General Aziz Ahmed, Chief of Bangladesh Navy Admiral Nizamuddin Ahmed, Chief of Bangladesh Air Force Air Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabet, Principal Staff Officer of Armed Forces Division Lt General Md Mahfuzur Rahman, senior officials of Armed Forces and civil and military members attended the janaza alongside close relatives of the deceased, said an Inter Service Public Relation (ISPR) press release.
