JERA opens Dhaka office

JERA Co., Inc., Japan's largest power generation company and a global leader in energy innovation, has officially launched its new office in Dhaka-marking a strategic milestone in its expansion across Asia.

The move aims to deepen collaboration with key stakeholders in Bangladesh's energy sector as the country pursues its Vision 2041 goal of attaining developed-nation status.

A resilient and sustainable energy infrastructure is seen as critical to supporting long-term economic and social progress.

"Asia is central to JERA's growth strategy, and we see opportunities across the region to support countries in achieving both economic growth and decarbonisation," said Izumi Kai, Managing Executive Officer and CEO of JERA Asia.

JERA's Dhaka office will enable closer engagement with government agencies, industry partners, and local communities to advance reliable, secure, and sustainable energy development.
