JnU hosts seminar on student-parent motivation

The Department of Psychology at Jagannath University (JnU) organised a seminar titled "Student-Parent Motivation: A Community Outreach Programme" on the university campus in the city recently.

The event was held as part of the University Grants Commission (UGC)-funded HEAT (Higher Education Acceleration and Transformation) Sub-Project, according to a statement.

The seminar aimed to emphasise the vital role of parental involvement in fostering students' academic motivation and overall psychological well-being. It also sought to strengthen the relationship between educational institutions and the wider community.

Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Alim, Dean of the Faculty of Life and Earth Sciences at JnU, served as the chief guest for the seminar.

Professor Dr. Asoke Kumar Saha, SPM HEAT Sub-Project, Department of Psychology at JnU, presided over the event.

Professor Dr. Kazi Saifuddin, ASPM, HEAT Sub-Project, Department of Psychology; Professor Dr. Md. Azam Khan, Director, Institute of Education and Research; Professor Dr. Noor Muhammad, Member, SPMT HEAT Sub-Project, Department of Psychology; Professor Dr. Muhammad Akram Uzzaman, Member, SPMT HEAT Sub-Project, Department of Psychology; and Professor Dr. Farjana Ahmed, Department of Psychology of JnU attended the programme.
