Joypurhat police recover lost SSC exam answer scripts

Police in Joypurhat have recovered the remaining 50 of the 75 SSC exam answer scripts misplaced from a teacher assigned to grade them, report agencies.

On Thursday, high school teacher Golam Sarwar was transporting scripts, assigned to him by the education board in Rajshahi. As he was heading to his home in the town's Shib Mondir area on a rickshaw from the railway station, some of the scripts fell out. Police recovered 25 of the scripts later that day from the neighbourhood Sarwar lives.

The rest were found Friday afternoon from the Biswaspara neighbourhood, said local police's Inspector Mominul Hoque.

Earlier, some 25 answer scripts of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination were recovered from Sonarpotti road in the town area on Thursday night.

The answer copies were of this year's English 1st paper exam under Rajshahi Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board. Officer-in-charge of Joypurhat Police Station Mominul Haque said three passers-by found those answer scripts lying on the road and handed over to police.

A general dairy was registered in this connection, said the OC.
