The 32nd death anniversary of Justice Syed Muhammad Hussain will be observed today (Monday), says a statement.
Justice Hussain was the eldest son of Syed Tasodduque Hussain and Begum Asma Hossain. He was an eminent judge of the Supreme Court.
Hussain was chairman of the Bangladesh Chapter of International Law Associa- tion, Amnesty International and International Commis- sion of Jurists. He led several international conferences in Europe, Asia and Africa.
He was awarded Swadinata Padak (posthumous) in 1998.
