Kidnapper held in C'nawabganj, five children rescued

CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Feb 09 (UNB): Police in a drive rescued five children and arrested a kidnapper from Bhutupukur area in Sadar upazila on Saturday.

Those who rescued are Abdur Rahman, Selim Hossain, Ismail Hossain, Kabbir Hossain and Sabbir hossain.

The arrestee is identified as Rabiul Islam, son of Enamul Haq of Palsa in the upazila.

Ziaur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Sadar Model Police Station, said Rabiul kidnapped the five children alluring them of giving ice-cream.

At one stage, when the children started to cry, local people interrogated Rabiul.

Sensing danger, the local people caught Rabiul and handed him over to police.

The rescued children were handed over to their parents after investigations.
