Law ministry cancels judicial officers’ training in India

The Ministry of Law on Sunday revoked an earlier notification giving approval to 50 judicial officers to attend a training programme in India.

The cancellation followed directives from the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, said a new notifications issued by Law Ministry Deputy Secretary (Training) Dr Abul Hasnat on Sunday. However, no specific reasons for the cancellation were provided by the ministry.

The training programme was scheduled to be held at the National Judicial Academy in Bhopal and State Judicial Academy from February 10-20 this year. Earlier on December 30 last year, the ministry issued the notification.
