Madrasah student gets electrocuted at Hefajat's rally

A madrasah student was electrocuted during Hefajat-e Islam's thanksgiving rally in the city's Suhrawardy Udyan on Sunday, reports UNB.

The dead is Saiful Islam (22), son of Moslem Uddin of Dhanbazar village in Madabpur upazila in Habiganj district and a student of Brahmanbaria Title Madrasa.

Saiful came in contact with a live electric wire near the boundary wall of Suhrawardy Udyan around 12:48 pm, leaving him severely injured.

Later, he was taken to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where doctors declared him dead.
