Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman from the BCS Administration Cadre and Alamgir Hossain from the Tax Cadre have been appointed president and general secretary (GS) respectively of the executive committee of the 13th Batch BCS Forum.
Mahbubur Rahman is a former government secretary, while Alamgir Hossain is a member of the National Board of Revenue, said a press release.
The new committee was elected at the Forum's annual general meeting (AGM), held at Shahbag in the city recently.
The meeting and a reunion were held marking the 31st anniversary of the Forum.
A 48-member executive board for the 13th BCS Forum and a 12-member committee for the 13th BCS Foundation, an associated body of the forum, were formed at the AGM.
Professor Dr Anwarul Karim and Fazul Azim from the judiciary were appointed president and GS respectively of the foundation.
The Forum members were honoured at the reunion that featured a cultural programme, raffle draw, and other entertainment events.
