Mahjabin gets bail

A Dhaka court granted bail to female entrepreneur Faria Mahjabin on Tuesday in a case filed for spreading 'rumours' on Facebook over the recent student movement for road safety, reports UNB.

Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Aminul Haque granted the bail when her lawyer Barrister Jyotirmoy Barua filed a petition seeking bail for her.

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested Faria Majhabin, owner of Nerdy Bean Coffee Haus in Dhanmondi, from the city's Dhanmondi area on August 16 for 'instigating' the recent student movement for road safety through uploading 'provocative' audio clips and posting status and 'fake' photos on Facebook.
