Man crushed to death while boarding bus

A man was killed after being caught in a tussle involving two buses while trying to board one of them. The incident occurred in front of the new building of the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) at around 4:15 pm on Wednesday.

According to police, the victim was identified as Joy Dev Pandey, 38. He worked as a distributor for Royal Laboratories, a herbal medicine company. Joy Dev met with the accident while attempting to board a bus to return to his Jatrabari residence after work.

He was rushed to the DMCH in critical condition, where the attending doctor declared him dead. Police seized two buses belonging to Moumita Paribahan, and detained one of the drivers.

Joy Dev hailed from Agoiljhara of Barishal, and lived in Jatrabari area.
