Man crushed under train

A security guard was crushed under the wheels of a running train in the city's Kuril Biswa Road area on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Abdul Barek (49), son of late Rahmat Ali, of Paikpara village under Durgapur upazila of Netrakona district.

Sub-inspector of Government Railway Police of Airport outpost Saklain confirmed the incident, saying that Abdul Barek met with the accident as a Kamalapur-bound train hit him while he was crossing the rail track at Kuril Biswa Road level-crossing on Friday morning.

He died on the spot. The body was sent to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

He had been working as a security guard at a house at Gulshan in the capital.
