Man dies after being caught between two buses in city

A 52-year-old man was killed after being crushed between two buses while crossing the road near Bakshi Bazar intersection in front of Buet in the capital's Chawkbazar area early Wednesday, reports UNB.
The deceased was identified as Zahirul Haque, son of the late Abdul Majid of Babupara village in Ishwardi upazila of Pabna district.
The accident occurred at around 01:30 am when Zahirul was on his way to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) to visit his younger son, who is undergoing treatment there for cancer, according to the victim's sister, Cynthia Akter.
She said her brother was critically injured while crossing the road between Buet and Bakshi Bazar. He was rushed to DMCH, where doctors at its emergency unit declared him dead.
