Man gets death for killing mother

A Dhaka court has sentenced a man to death for killing his mother in Dhaka 12 years ago.
Special District and Sessions Judge Begum Chaman Chowdhury passed the order on Sunday, reports bdnews24.com.
Convicted Mobarak, who killed his mother Honufa Begum, was present in the court to hear the verdict.
Honufa had served as a cleaner of Dhaka City Corporation and used to live in Hazaribagh area.
She was strangled after being tied with a piece of cloth around her neck. Her brother Abdur Rashid filed a case over the incident with Hazaribagh thana in 2007.
