Man killed in family dispute over ducks in Sylhet

Sylhet, Aug 30 (UNB): A man was killed and his two brothers seriously injured in a family clash over dead ducks in Kanaighat of Sylhet.

The deceased, Saidur Rahman, 35, died Saturday morning at Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital.

His brothers, Farid Ahmed, 25, and Abdur Rahman, 29, were still under medical observation.

The attack took place Friday in Shahapur village, Dighirpar East Union, when Saidur, Farid, and Abdur were returning home after Friday prayers.

They were attacked with knives, sickles, and sticks by their uncle Imran Ahmed, 30, his mother Lechu Begum, and father Rokib Ali, 65.

The dispute began after Farid's 10 ducks entered Imran's field, and 7 died due to pesticide.
