Man stabbed dead by ‘younger brother’ in Gaibandha

GAIBANDHA, Aug 18 (UNB): A man was stabbed to death allegedly by his younger brother over family feud at Gopalpur village in Gobindaganj upazila of the district in the early hours of Sunday.

The dead is Ismail Hossain, son of Amzad Hossain of the area.

Officer-in-charge of Gobindaganj thana Mehedi Hasan said Ismail's younger brother Israil Hossain stabbed him with a sharp weapon and fled the scene around 12:00 am.

Locals took Ismail to Bagura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital where doctor declared him dead.

The OC said police are trying to arrest Israil and process of filing a case was underway.
