Man stabbed to death in Dhanmondi

A 47-year-old man has been stabbed to death allegedly by a street vendor following an altercation in the capital's Dhanmondi area, reports UNB.

The deceased is Rony Khandaker, a driver by profession and son of Abdus Samad Khandaker of Chitalmari in Bagerhat.

Md Shahjalal Mia, SI of Dhanmondi Police Station, said Rony had an altercation with a street vendor over eating pitha on Tuesday night.

At one stage, the vendor hit him with a sharp weapon, leaving Rony injured.

Later, he was taken to a local hospital where the doctors declared him dead.
