Man to die for killing son in Thakurgaon

THAKURGAON, Aug 13 (UNB): A court here on Monday convicted a man and sentenced him to death for killing his son in 2012.

The condemned convict is Musa Ali of Lauthuti village in Sadar Uapzila.

According to the prosecution, Mansur Ali, son of Musa, had inherited a 20-decimal land from his grandfather.

As Mansur denied giving the land to his father, Musa strangled him to death on November 18, 2012.

Police submitted a charge sheet against Musa.

After examining all the records and witnesses, Additional District and Sessions Judge Tariqul Kabir handed down the verdict.
