Manikganj, Jhenidah road crashes kill three

At least three people were killed while another was severely injured in separate road accidents in Jhenidah and Manikganj districts on Saturday, reports UNB.

The deceased were identified as Al-Amin, 45, son of late Samsuddin Mandal of Ararpur and Shafiqul Islam, 37, of Jhenaidah Sadar Upazila and Shamim Mia, 18, son of Ayar Ali and also first-year student of Ghior Government Degree College in Manikganj.

In Jhenidah, a bus hit Al-Amin while he was crossing the road, leaving him severely injured, said Emdadul Haque Sheikh, officer-in-charge of Jhenidah Sadar Police Station.

Later, he was rushed to Jhenidah Sadar Hospital where the duty doctors declared him dead.

The bus also hit Azizul Haque, an elderly man, when the driver lost his control over the steering while fleeing the scene after hitting Al-Amin, leaving him severely injured, said the OC.
