Reeta Roy, President and CEO of the Mastercard Foundation, visited BRAC University's (BRACU) campus at Merul Badda in the city on Tuesday, with a high-level delegation, says a press release.
During her visit, she expressed her appreciation of BRAC University's commitment to fostering global citizenship, social impact, and inclusive education, emphasising that these values strongly align with the Mastercard Foundation's mission to empower young people.
In her welcome address, Tamara Hasan Abed, Chairperson of the BRAC University Board of Trustees, described the visit as a moment of shared purposes and common goals.
The Mastercard Foundation delegation included Chief Financial Officer Doug Kasambala, Executive Director and Global Controller Litsa Popowich, Chief Programme Officer Peter Materu, and PANA Programmes Executive Director Dr. Segenet Kelemu.
BRAC University Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Arshad Mahmud Chowdhury, Treasurer Ariful Islam, and BRAC International Executive Director Shameran Abed were also present.
