Memorial meeting on Zillul Hye Razi December 23

A memorial meeting to mourn and commemorate life and achievements of late Zillul Hye Razi will be held at the RC Majumdar Arts Hall at Dhaka University (DU) on Saturday (December 23).

Dhaka University Economics Department Alumni Association (DUEDAA) will organise the programme to pay homage to Zillul Hye, who was an alumnus of DUEDAA for 1968-1972 batch.

Zillul Hye, who was a well-known international relations and international trade personality, breathed his last in Dhaka on November 23 last.

Zillul Hye worked for the European Union (EU) Office in Dhaka as a trade expert and for more than 22 years of his career, he made invaluable contributions to enhancing two-way trade between the EU and Bangladesh, said the a DUEDAA press statement.

After his retirement from the EU office, Zillul Hye joined Bangladesh Shrimp and Fish Foundation as one of its policy advisers.

He was also associated with many social and charitable organisations including the Ispahani Islamia Eye Institute and Hospital.
