Metro services to be suspended for 40 mins today

Metro rail services will be suspended for 40 minutes on today (Tuesday) to ensure the safety of paratroopers during the Victory Day celebrations, reports UNB.

Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) announced on Monday that the suspension will be from 11:50am to 12:30pm.

A para jump is scheduled at Tejgaon Puratan Airport to mark Victory Day, prompting the temporary halt in metro services for the safety of the paratroopers, according to DMTCL.

Authorities apologised to commuters for the inconvenience and assured that the services will resume as scheduled.
