Mild heat wave sweeps some dists----

Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty/squally wind and lightning flashes is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions until 6:00 pm today (Saturday), according to the Met Office.

Mild heat wave is sweeping over the districts of Madaripur, Gopalganj, Rajshahi, Chandpur, Lakshmipur, Noakhali, Feni, Bandarban, Khulna, Bagerhat, Satkhira, Jashore, Chuadanga and Patuakhali and it may continue.

Day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

The highest temperature of the country was recorded on Friday at 37 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi, while the lowest temperature was 23.5 degrees Celsius in Rangpur.

The highest temperature in the city was recorded at 34.7 degrees Celsius and the lowest was 29 degrees Celsius.
