Mild-to-moderate heat wave persists

A mild-to-moderate heat wave continued to sweep across several parts of the country, including the capital, on Friday, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.

The temperature in Dhaka was recorded at 36 degrees Celsius on the day.

In a bulletin issued Friday, the weather office said the heat wave is affecting Khulna Division and a number of districts, including Dhaka, Faridpur, Madaripur, Rajshahi, Pabna, Sirajganj, Feni, Lakshmipur, Rangamati, Bandarban and Patuakhali, and it may persist.
