Miscreants hack young man to death in Ramu

COX'S BAZAR, Apr 3: A young man was hacked to death by miscreants in broad day light at Ramu upazila of the district on Tuesday noon.

The deceased was identified as Abdus Shokkur (28), son of Obaidul Haq of Lamar Para village under Kawarkhup union of Ramu.

According to witnesses and police sources, a group of terrorists numbering about five suddenly attacked Abdus Shokkur in the Ukhiar Ghona Lamar Para area on Tuesday noon. Attackers beat him mercilessly with axe, iron rod and sticks. At one stage of beating they chopped him with sharp knife and quickly fled the spot.

Later, local people recovered seriously injured Shokkur and sent him to Cox's Bazar district sadar hospital. But the doctors on duty declared him dead.
