FE REPORT
The fire at a power coach of ‘Mohua’ commuter train in Gazipur is not an incident of sabotage, said an inquiry committee formed to investigate the reason behind the flames.
The report submitted to the Divisional Railway Manager on Saturday said either overheating or the fire from a cigarette may have started the blaze.
Bangladesh Railway Director General Mohammad Afzal Hossain said, "As the committee members did not find any object thrown from outside of the train, the fire might have originated due to the heat from the engine or from the light of a discarded cigarette."
