Multi-level parking lot opens at DMP

FE Report | April 10, 2019 00:00:00

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) opened a digital multi-level car parking system at its central command and control centre building in the city's Abdul Gani Road area on Tuesday.

The DMP has set up the modern parking lot to facilitate parking more vehicles in a comparatively limited space to accelerate the government's ongoing digitisation process, said DMP.

A total of 34 cars can be parked at the central command and control centre where normally only six cars could be accommodated, it added.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohammad Javed Patwary inaugurated the eight-storey digital car parking system while high-ups of the force were also present during the inauguration.

The IGP said such modern initiatives will be taken more in future in order to support smart parking and to maintain the city's traffic law and order.

Police Headquarters Development Branch-1 implemented the digital car parking project.
