Navana Group vice chairman granted bail

A Dhaka labour court on Wednesday granted bail to Navana Group Vice Chairman Sajedul Islam Shuvro in a case filed over violating labour laws.

Police earlier arrested Shuvro in connection with a criminal case involving contempt of court. He was arrested from his residence in Banani during an overnight operation on Tuesday.

Confirming the matter, OC of Tejgaon Industrial Area Police Station said a joint team from Tejgaon and Banani police stations conducted a raid at a house in Banani around 11:00 pm and arrested Sajedul. An arrest warrant had been issued against him in a criminal (CR) case. Sajedul was produced before the court.
