Nawab Bahadur Syed Nawab Ali Chy's 90th death anniv today

The 90th death anniversary of Nawab Bahadur Syed Nawab Ali Chowdhury, one of the founders of Dhaka University, and the first Musim minister of the then undivided Bengal, will be observed today (Wednesday), says a press release.

He was the first proponent of declaring Bangla as the state language for the people of then undivided Bengal

The philanthropist, social reformer and political personality was born in December, 1863 and breathed his last on April 17, 1929 at the age of 66.

Officials of Nawab Bahadur Syed Nawab Ali-Hasan Ali Foundation have requested all to pray for the salvation of his departed soul.
